Jr. Buyer

SCIEX, a Danaher operating company, plays a pivotal role in life sciences and diagnostics. The Junior Buyer will be responsible for creating purchase orders, managing past‑due orders, coordinating with warehouse on receipt issues, and processing defective material returned by customers. Reporting & Location Reports to the Procurement Manager and is part of the Supply Chain Team located in Carlsbad, CA. This is an on‑site role. Key Responsibilities Review and convert daily material requirements into Purchase Orders; manage supplier communications, delivery confirmations and PO discrepancies. Expedite daily shortages to meet customer requirements and identify supply risk to leadership team. Resolve inbound receiving issues by working with suppliers and the warehouse team. Investigate and disposition all defective material in sub‑inventory Returns, As‑Is and MRB (Material Review Board); work with suppliers to resolve discrepancies. Perform other duties as assigned. Education & Work Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree or 1+ year(s) experience in a procurement role (distribution environment a plus). Familiarity with Oracle or similar ERP software. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail‑oriented and focused on delivering value to the customer. Preferred Qualifications Ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment. Analytical and problem‑solving skills. Positive mindset and encourages team members. The annual salary range for this role is $63,000 – $75,000. This range is in good faith and may be modified in the future. The position is eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
