Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Previous Charge Experience, Patient Ratio Experience, Charting System Experience Description: Registered Nurse for Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit. Responsible for providing direct nursing care for patients of all age and developmental stages in assigned areas. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Manages care of assigned patients and directs activities of ancillary staff. Assesses patients' physiological and psychological needs in a comprehensive manner. Plans, implements, and evaluates patients' care plans. Commits to professional practice and manages patient care assignments effectively. Demonstrates leadership skills through the performance of charge nurse functions. Additional Requirements: Experience in managing patient ratios is essential. Experience with Epic charting system is required. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Daily census and various patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, diabetes, CVA, pneumonia, and sepsis.
