Veterinary Technician – Full-Time/No Weekends
Location: Wylie, Texas
Compensation: $20 – $22/hour, based on skills, experience, education, and licensure

Lake Lavon Animal Hospital is a privately-owned, rapidly growing small animal (with some exotics) practice serving the Wylie community since 2013. We specialize in surgical, medical, and wellness care and intentionally do not offer boarding or grooming services to maintain our clinical focus.

Clinic Hours

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM

• Thursday: 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM

• No weekend hours - closed daily for lunch from 12:15 – 1:15

• Typical work week consists of 38 - 40 hours weekly

Position Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced, full-time Veterinary Technician to join our close-knit and compassionate team. The ideal candidate is skilled, reliable, and passionate about animal care.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient restraint and handling

• Client education and communication

• Vaccine preparation and administration

• Performing laboratory diagnostics (blood draw, urinalysis, fecal exams, etc.)

• Radiology

• Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery

• Surgical preparation and assistance

• Dental cleanings and oral assessments

• Care for hospitalized patients
