The Department of the Physical Plant at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania- Rittenhouse location is seeking a Full-Time Multi-Skilled Plant Operator:

Responsibilities:

Maintenance, installation and repair of commercial / industrial HVAC systems and HVAC & Boiler equipment. Testing and preventive maintenance on HVAC & Boiler related equipment. When needed, work with 3-phase Electric and be able to troubleshoot electrical control circuits. Experience with Plumbing systems; Carpentry and Lock repairs; Painting, Patching and Wall Coverings is a plus.

Education or Equivalent Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• A minimum of two (2) years of specialized training for HVAC (Required)
• A minimum of 4 years full time HVAC experience with a bona fide HVAC contractor or employer (Required)
• Experience working with Boilers (Preferred)
• Experience in Healthcare facilities (Preferred)

Additional Information:

A Philadelphia Engineers A License or equivalent license is required. Candidates that do not have the required licenses at the time of hire must obtain the Philadelphia Engineers Class A License and have it filed with the Physical Plant Department office within 180 days of employment. A CFC license for handling low tonnage (chillers) cooling equipment must also be obtained with 180 days of employment.
