MRI Technologist - FT, Days

The MRI Staff Technologist works under the supervision of the Administrative Supervisor and/or Director, and operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatments of pathologies. Selects appropriate imaging techniques and operates console and peripheral hardware; enters and monitors patient data, transfers images from disk to PACS. Position Details: Location Mercy Hospital Southeast 1701 Lacey Street Cape Girardeau, MO 63701 Hours/Schedule Full-Time (36-hrs per week) Days - Thurs, Fri, Sat (3-12's) Exciting New Incentives: Loan Repayment Assistance Program up to $20,000 Lifetime : The Imaging Loan Repayment Assistance Program provides financial support to our Mercy Imaging co‑workers in a 24X7 hospital based eligible position who are in a .4 FTE and above, working 32 hours or more per pay period. The program offers monthly payments made directly to the loan servicer up to the amount of $370 per month and up to $20,000 for a lifetime maximum. Sign-On Bonus: $10,000* Education : High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or MRI Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours. Experience : Has acquired experience and possesses capability as determined to be adequate for the position. Licensure/Certifications : Obtained ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT registry or Advanced register eligible (Achieve advanced registry within 18 months of eligibility). BLS Basic Life Support Other Skills & Knowledge IV Insertion Technical skill in medical scanning, understanding of cross sectional anatomy, and 3-D knowledge. Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Manipulating equipment, lifting, moving, and transporting patients. Continual standing or walkng. Adapt to stressful situations. Preferred Education : Bachelor degree Preferred Experience : at least 1 year of relevant experience. Preferred Licensure : ARRT or ARMRIT - 1 Advanced registry (MRI) Why Mercy?
