Description - SCOPE AND PURPOSE: The Host is responsible for creating a warm, welcoming, and seamless dining experience for guests of El Encanto. As the first point of contact within the restaurant, this role supports the Food & Beverage operation through professional guest interaction, reservation management, dining room coordination, and personalized hospitality. The Host serves as a key ambassador of the restaurant, delivering luxury hospitality standards while ensuring organization, efficiency, and thoughtful guest care throughout all dining touchpoints.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Guest Experience & Service
• Greet all guests warmly and professionally while creating a welcoming first impression.
• Escort guests to tables while maintaining polished and attentive service standards.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of menus, specials, restaurant offerings, and hotel amenities.
• Provide personalized assistance for guest requests, dietary needs, and special accommodations.
• Recognize returning guests and assist in creating memorable dining experiences.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism during all guest interactions.
• Reservations & Dining Room Coordination
• Manage reservations accurately using the hotel reservation system.
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize dining room flow and operational efficiency.
• Communicate wait times, table availability, and guest accommodations professionally.
• Coordinate with restaurant leadership and service teams regarding VIP guests, allergies, and special events.
• Assist with large party coordination, celebrations, and private dining arrangements.
• Operational Excellence
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entrance, and guest-facing areas.
• Support the restaurant ambiance by maintaining awareness of lighting, music, and room presentation.
• Communicate effectively with service staff, culinary teams, and leadership regarding operational updates.
• Follow all departmental policies, procedures, and luxury service standards.
• Maintain proper grooming, uniform, and professional presentation standards at all times.
• Teamwork & Professionalism
• Demonstrate professionalism in appearance, communication, and conduct at all times.
• Support fellow team members and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
• Participate in departmental training, meetings, and service initiatives.

Salary Range - $19.00 Hourly
