Job Opportunity – Progressive Care / Telemetry RN – South Carolina

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Columbia, South Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 hours per week; 6 weekend shifts per every 6-week schedule; 1:4-1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio

Highlights:

• 41-bed progressive care trauma and telemetry unit serving adult and geriatric patients recovering from traumatic injuries requiring surgical intervention
• Dynamic patient population including gunshot wounds, penetrating injuries, motor vehicle crashes, assaults, and falls
• Telemetry monitoring available for up to 14 patients; Epic EMR system required
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Medication competency testing required; reimbursable pre-assignment modules (up to 16 hours)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required for first-time travelers; Trauma Level I or II experience preferred

Requirements:

• Active RN license in South Carolina or compact state eligibility
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and Telemetry
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Minimum 2 years of progressive care or telemetry experience for first-time travelers
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, central line care, chest tubes, wound care, tracheostomy care, and trauma nursing
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Must reside 50+ miles from the facility (distance requirements apply based on shift and specialty)
