Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Administer injections, vaccines, and medications as directed.
- Perform basic laboratory procedures and specimen collection.
- Manage patient scheduling, referrals, and follow-up appointments.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
- Provide outstanding customer service and patient education.
- Follow all HIPAA and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a primary care or outpatient clinic preferred.
- Knowledge of EMR systems and medical terminology.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
