Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring a minimum of 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience and an active DC RN license.

Details

• 48-bed cardiac-focused stepdown unit within a hospital setting
• Unit includes 4 pulmonary care beds and 10 cardiac surgery beds (travelers not required to take cardiac surgery patients)
• Patient population includes CHF, NSTEMI, arrhythmias, and vascular surgery diagnoses
• Frequent IV drip management including Heparin, Milrinone, Lasix, and Bumex
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• EMR: Cerner experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license in DC (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — AHA-issued certifications only
• CPI certification required for this position
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry RN experience in a U.S. hospital
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
• BSN highly desired
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Active U.S. Social Security Number required
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• Requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission
