Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Bessemer, Alabama.

Travel RN – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry

Contract Details

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week available
• Schedule: Every other weekend required; holidays as required
• Patient Ratios: 1:6 (specifically on the General Surgical Unit)
• Floating Requirements: Must be willing to float to other units and other hospitals as needed by the facility.

Unit & Facility Details

• Med-Tele Units: Candidates may be assigned to MT Respiratory, MT Pulmonary, MT General, or MT Renal.
• General Surgical Unit Overview: This is a 32-bed unit specializing in exceptional postoperative care. RNs are trained in all aspects of post-op care, including pain management, mobility, and bedside procedures.
• Work Environment: The facility highly values a comfortable, healing environment tailored to unique patient needs. Expect close collaboration with surgeons, hospitalists, and local family practice physicians.

Requirements & Experience

• License: Active Alabama (AL) or multi-state Compact RN license required. (Note: Temporary licenses are strictly NOT accepted).
• Experience: 2 years of experience preferred. The facility will consider 18 months of total RN experience as long as you have at least 1 year of recent experience in this specific specialty.
• Certifications: BLS required (American Heart Association OR American Red Cross are both accepted).
• Education: Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
