Psychiatrist

Position Overview Monarch is seeking a dedicated part‑time Psychiatrist to join our Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) in Franklin County and Forsyth County, North Carolina. The role involves community‑based psychiatric care, traveling directly to the homes of individuals we support. Hours range from 10 to 24 per week, with 10 hours in Guilford County and 14 hours in Forsyth County. Responsibilities Assess individuals served by ACTT for mental health disorders and provide a DSM diagnosis. Develop person‑centered treatment plans, screen for referrals, and prescribe medications as appropriate. Order diagnostic lab work and maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Records system. Educate patients, family members, and supports about diagnoses and treatment options. Encourage participation in mental health therapy and coordinate care with counselors, psychologists, social workers, primary care providers, and local agencies. Provide clinical supervision to physician assistants and nurse practitioners under the North Carolina medical license. Attend team meetings, training, and required staff staffings for high‑risk or complex cases. Maintain all agency, state, and federal training and certification requirements. Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). Board eligible or certified in Psychiatry (American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology). Completion of an ACGME‑accredited psychiatry training program. Valid U.S. drivers license and state medical license for psychiatry. Ability to travel to patients’ homes within designated counties.
