Holiday Party Legacy of Aloha Scholarship Program Position Summary Assist Servers in providing the highest level of quality and service to our guests by being responsible for all preparation, interaction and steps of service needed to exceed guest expectations in the restaurant. Essential Functions Assist in preparing the restaurant for dining service by setting up the section, including polishing and preparing items such as linens, silverware, and glassware before they go to the floor and assisting in setting them at the table. Greet all guests and co‑workers in a warm, personal, friendly manner. Assist Service Team as needed by removing dishes and glasses from tables or counters throughout guests’ meal, and take them to kitchen for cleaning. After guest has finished dining, prepare table by clearing and cleaning table and resetting for the next guest. Assist guests with any requests or concerns and take action to correct any problems. Stock service areas with supplies such as tableware and linens throughout service period. Assist in removing trash from full receptacles and replacing liner. Take extra care to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness in each duty performed. Stock service areas with supplies as required. Qualifications Guest Oriented – Ability to take care of the guests’ needs while following T S procedures. Working Under Pressure – Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations. Safety – Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety, and safely operate and handle all required equipment, appliances, and tools. Communication – Ability to communicate by speaking effectively and clearly with guests, coworkers, and management. Response to Direction – Receive and follow directions from supervisors; follow direction of computer‑generated tickets. Teamwork – Ability to work together with a team in a positive manner to achieve a common goal; understand the importance of teamwork with both other bussers and the rest of the staff. Friendly – Ability to exhibit a cheerful demeanor toward others. Neat and well‑groomed. Skills & Abilities Experience: No prior restaurant experience required; useful experience is a plus. Certificates & Licenses: Must take and pass all training tests 90% or higher. Must be at least 16 years of age. Physical Requirements Occasionally (up to 33% of the time): Stand, squat or kneel; walk constantly; use hands/fingers frequently; lift/carry 11‑20 lbs constantly; reach outward constantly; climb stairs frequently.
