divh2Job Title/h2pUnit Clerk/ph2Job Description/h2pThe Unit Clerk under the direction of the NM/ANM, coordinates and performs those duties necessary to manage and organize the nursing unit including reception and secretarial duties as well as accountability for accurate communication among the health care team./ph2Responsibilities/h2pResponsibilities include:/pulliMaintaining regulatory standards involving the medical record/liliPerforms other duties and responsibilities as delegated by NM/ANM/liliCompletes competencies needed to perform duties in a specific clinical (patient care) setting/li/ulh2Requirements/h2pRequirements include:/pulliBLS or CPR/AED training required and accepted from only 1 organization: American Heart Association - BLS/ACLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR AED). No online programs from any organization will be accepted/liliHigh School diploma or equivalent./liliKeyboarding and clerical skills required and tested./liliStrong interpersonal and communication and telephone skills required. Previous healthcare setting experience preferred./liliStrong organizational skills to prioritize and complete assigned tasks is required./liliKnowledge of medical terminology to read, write and comprehend preferred./liliKnowledge of hospital computer order entry systems preferred./liliAbility to work independently./liliStrong desire to work in a busy and challenging environment./liliPrior clerical or Nursing Assistant experience preferred./liliA computer/typing test will be administered to all applicants/li/ulh2Posted Salary Range/h2pUSD $20.87 - USD $26.09 /Hr./ppThis range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidates qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
