PRN Staff Pharmacist

PharmacistEssential Job Duties:Interpret and enter medication orders and prescriptions, assessing for indications, allergies, duplications, dosages, and interactions. Contacts prescriber on any problems and completes any required clinical documentation.Supervise and serve as a resource person for pharmacy staff, manage the Pharmacy in the absence of the Director, Pharmacy Staff Development Supervisor, and Clinical Coordinator.Provide drug information to health care professionals, patients, and the publicProfessional competency and clinical knowledge is demonstrated and maintainedWorks efficiently to make productive use of time and uses down periods for productive purposesPromotes cost effective use of medicationsEnsure the safe use of medicationsDocuments interventions accurately and completely and follows up on unresolved interventions.Secondary Job Duties That May be Reassigned:Provide patient counseling when neededDemonstrates knowledge and skill necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient servedPerforms and completes other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications:Job Specifications:Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. or Pharm.D. degree.
