IT Business System Analyst / Technical Business Analyst

This individual will play a key role in gathering and documenting business requirements, establishing structured testing practices, and ensuring enterprise technology solutions meet business needs. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical business analysis and quality assurance experience, with strong SQL skills and hands-on experience developing test plans, managing requirements traceability, and coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT). Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements in collaboration with stakeholders and development teams. Translate business requirements into detailed test plans, test cases, acceptance criteria, and testing documentation. Establish and maintain requirements traceability to ensure test cases align with documented business needs. Coordinate and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), working closely with business users to validate system functionality. Utilize SQL to perform data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting across enterprise applications and integrations. Develop and execute functional, integration, regression, and data validation testing. Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution. Support enterprise system implementations, ERP initiatives, application integrations, and data migration projects. Leverage Azure DevOps (ADO) for requirements management, test planning, defect tracking, and reporting. Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery. Contribute to the development of standardized QA processes, testing documentation, and best practices. Provide guidance and training to team members and business users on testing processes and tools. 3+ years of experience in technical business analysis, quality assurance, software testing, or a related role. ~ Strong experience gathering and documenting requirements and translating them into testable scenarios. ~ Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, validation, and reconciliation. ~ Experience coordinating UAT and working directly with business stakeholders. ~ Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and defect management processes. ~ Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar requirements and test management tools preferred. ~ Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and introduce process improvements. ~ Experience supporting ERP implementations, system integrations, or data migrations is preferred. ~ Background in transportation, logistics, field services, or operational business systems is a plus.
