Engineer Technician

Position Summary Location: 129 W. Main St., Solomon, KS, 67480, United States Base Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 / Hour Employee Type: Non-Exempt Full Time Required Degree: High School Manage Others: No Responsibilities Read and follow work order instructions to rebuild transformers to customer specifications. Gather parts and tools needed for the work order and ensure they are in good working condition prior to use. Layout conduit runs for pad mount and substation transformers, including tracing and wiring in existing control panels. Perform quality checks and basic testing on units before they leave the workstation. Utilize shop equipment and tools safely and appropriately; return equipment to the proper location once usage is complete. Recondition any components deemed necessary to fix. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly workstation. Complete other assigned duties as needed. Qualifications HS Diploma/GED preferred. Mechanical and transformer experience preferred. OSHA 10 certification preferred. CAD experience is a plus. A proven track record in safety excellence is required. Adherence to all safety and environmental compliance regulations. Ability to read and interpret work orders. Meet department and production goals set by supervisor. Ensure product quality meets company and client expectations. Strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, problem‑solving abilities, cooperative attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment. Adherence to company employee handbook policies and core values. Ability to learn other department job functions and fill in as needed. Completion of company compliance and safety training when required. Ability to work a flexible schedule and perform under pressure in a fast‑paced environment. Physical Requirements Lift 50 lbs floor to waist and waist to shoulder multiple times. Stand and walk for long durations. Bend, squat, and kneel multiple times for long durations. Climb up and down a ladder multiple times; balance and stand on a ladder with three points of contact for extended periods. Comfortable working in heat and cold due to non‑climate‑controlled manufacturing facilities.
