Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neonatal ICU (NICU) unit, you will provide leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. You will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.

You will oversee the delivery of patient care for a group of patients and direct patient care based on patient acuity and staff availability.

You will provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes and adjust nursing care processes indicated to adhere to legal, ethical and competency level of staff.

You will collaborate and consult with patients, colleagues and interdisciplinary team members to achieve desired outcomes.

You will provide education for self, staff, colleagues, patients and/or families.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Required Education: Associates Degree of Science in Nursing
• Preferred Education: Bachelors Degree
• Required License/Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON
• Required Experience: Must have one year of nursing experience
• Certificate: BLS Healthcare Provider
• NRP must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Preferred License/Certifications: National Certification in area of specialty
