Department Manager

McDonald’s franchisee is a separate company and employer. If hired, the franchisee will be your employer, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is solely responsible for employment matters, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. Responsibilities Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive fast, accurate, and friendly service. Manage assigned systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management. Set goals, delegate tasks to teams, follow up, and report results to managers. Ensure the Guest Service Department delivers a great customer experience, oversees sales promotions, trains service staff, and maintains organization in the Front Counter McCafé and Drive‑Thru areas. Ensure the Kitchen Department delivers high‑quality food quickly, maintains food safety, controls food costs, and trains kitchen staff on production procedures and new menu items. Hire, train, and schedule qualified crew to meet restaurant sales and profit goals. Recognize and motivate crew to improve performance and job satisfaction. Qualifications Previous managerial experience preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment. Positive team player with flexible schedule and a passion for working in a fast‑paced environment. Must be 18 years or older to serve as manager in corporate‑owned restaurants.
