We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Instructor to join the team at Aurora STEAM Lab!
In this role, youll lead hands-on STEM and art activities that spark curiosity, build confidence, and support school-age learners in reaching their full potential. The ideal candidate is creative, patient, and highly adaptable able to connect with diverse learners and bring energy to every lesson. Facilitate hands-on STEM and art activities that are developmentally appropriate, inclusive, and aligned with daily programming
Follow established schedules to maintain structure and flow throughout the day, including transitions, snack, and movement breaks
Support students physical and emotional needs, using evidence-based strategies for regulation, engagement, and safety
Observe and document student participation and progress, noting developmental milestones and areas for support
Communicate clearly and respectfully with parents, sharing updates on student behavior, learning highlights, and safety concerns Qualifications:
Must be 16 years or older with reliable transportation
Previous experience working with children in educational or enrichment settings (e.g., tutoring, camps, after-school programs)
Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate engagement strategies
Patient, kind, and nurturing with a growth mindset
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
First Aid/CPR certified (or willing to obtain)
