DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Administer, process and evaluate mill and customer rejects
WORKING CONDITIONS: This is a safety sensitive position. This work is predominantly performed in an office setting with minimal to moderate noise due to computers, printers, and people. Occasionally, work will be performed in a manufacturing setting with moderate to high levels of noise due to machinery and equipment. The temperature of the facility will vary based on outside weather conditions. The use of personal protective equipment for safety compliance may be required as deemed necessary by management. - Review scrap and rejects to identify root cause(s)
- Initiate corrective action for quality problems
- Reassign mill claimed denied/non-conforming product
- Generate and issue all mill debits and credits, reject notifications
- Knowledge of and ability to comply with safety rules and requirements
- Knowledge of ISO and IATF16949 standards
- Knowledge of quality systems, production methods, and performance objectives
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Leadership skills
- Ability to accurately use tape measures, Rockwell tester, micrometers and calipers
- Ability to read and understand material tags and production instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to see details at close range
- Ability to correctly retrieve and input data using a computer
- Ability to travel
- Ability to routinely twist, bend, stoop, and squat
- Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
