About the Role

We're seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with customers to implement AI technology and build any required customizations.

In this role, you'll apply your problem-solving ability, creativity, and technical skills to become customers' primary technical resource for implementing AI-powered automations. You'll own high-impact customer implementations while helping shape product capabilities by building solutions that can ultimately become part of the core platform.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end implementation and execution of high-impact customer engagements.
• Gather customer requirements and determine the best way to apply AI automations to existing workflows.
• Build customer-specific features and integrations that ultimately become part of the core engineering product.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, customer success, and enterprise customers.
• Deliver production-ready solutions in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer or Backend Engineer with customer-facing experience.
• Experience working at a VC-backed AI startup or other well-funded technology company.
• Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
• Experience building production software using LLMs and AI agents.
• Demonstrated experience building and deploying customer-facing technical solutions.
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.
• Comfortable collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another STEM discipline.
• Able to work on-site five days per week in San Francisco (relocation considered).

Preferred Qualifications

• Former founding engineer or early startup engineer.
• Experience building AI automations and enterprise integrations.
• Passion for solving customer problems rather than focusing exclusively on internal platform development.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving priorities.

Compensation & Benefits

• $175,000-$235,000 base salary
• Equity (0.08%-0.15%)
