Job Summary

This role is seeking a well-rounded ED nurse for a Night Shift travel contract at a facility with a psych holding area in the ED. The position floats between the Leominster and Clinton campuses. Scheduling is based on the needs of the unit — absolutely no block schedules can be accommodated.

Key Responsibilities

• Float between Leominster & Clinton campuses as required.
• Work within a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio in the Emergency Department.
• Provide care in an ED that includes a psych holding area.
• Maintain flexibility to start four (4) hours prior to scheduled start time or four (4) hours after scheduled start time based on limited critical department need.
• Work every other weekend and holiday per the weekend requirement.
• Utilize Epic for all charting and documentation.

Required Skills

• Demonstrated experience as a well-rounded ED nurse.
• Ability to float between multiple campuses (Leominster & Clinton).
• Flexibility to adjust shift start time by up to four (4) hours earlier or later based on critical department need.
• Proficiency with Epic charting system.
• Ability to work within a 1:5 patient ratio in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
• Willingness and ability to work every other weekend and holiday.

Education Requirements

• Permanent Massachusetts (MA) RN License required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Position is onsite; float coverage required between Leominster and Clinton campuses.
• Night shift schedule (3×12 Hours, 19:00–07:30).
• Scheduling based on unit needs; no block schedules accommodated.
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed).
• COVID-19 vaccination: not required.
• Must be available every other weekend and holiday.

Important Notes

• July PTO/RTO will not be approved unless it is 1–2 days.
• The facility may be able to accommodate a quicker start date, but cannot accept start dates beyond July 13, 2026.
