Emergency Medicine Wellness Fellowship

Northwell Health, New York State's largest private employer and one of the nation's leading Health Systems, invites Emergency Medicine Residency Trained/ABEM board eligible physicians to apply for the new non-GME accredited Emergency Medicine Wellness Fellowship at South Shore University Hospital. This is a one-year program designed to train future leaders in clinician well-being. Whether pursuing a career as an institutional well-being leader or an academic emergency physician with a niche in clinician well-being, fellows benefit from a flexible curriculum that can be tailored to their professional interests. The fellowship emphasizes clinician well-being, operational improvement, systems-based change, leadership development, and workforce engagement to prepare graduates to lead meaningful organizational and cultural change.
Required Qualifications:
Board certification or board-eligibility in Emergency Medicine.
New York State medical license or the ability to obtain one prior to employment.
Compensation & Benefits:
We offer a highly competitive full-time clinical compensation package commensurate with experience.
About Us:
A member of Northwell Health, South Shore University Hospital is a 341-bed tertiary hospital, located in Bay Shore, which has been in existence for over 100 years and has become an important part of the community. We have renowned centers of excellence in cardiology, orthopedics, neuroscience and women's health services. South Shore University Hospital has a full-service surgical trauma team, a hospitalist program, specialty specific intensive care units, and numerous tertiary care programs.
