Quality Engineer

Quality EngineerThe Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products are designed and manufactured to meet or exceed customer requirements. The Quality Engineer is also responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards, procedures, and processes.Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and implement quality assurance plans, standards, and proceduresMonitor and analyze product and performance dataEnsure that products meet customer requirementsInvestigate customer complaints and take corrective action as necessaryEnsure that products conform to applicable standardsDevelop and implement process control systemsProvide technical guidance and support to production and design departmentsParticipate in design reviews and provide feedbackManage and coordinate quality assurance activitiesMonitor supplier performance and ensure suppliers meet quality standardsDevelop and maintain metrics to monitor the performance of products and processesIdentify and analyze trends in customer satisfaction, quality, and performanceDevelop and implement corrective and preventive actionsEstablish and maintain relationships with customers and suppliersInvestigate and resolve quality issuesEnsure compliance with legal and regulatory standardsParticipate in continuous improvement projectsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree3+ years of experience in quality assurance or quality managementCompetencies:Strong communication skills, both verbally and writtenTeam player mentalityAbility to make decisionsAbility to manage multiple projects at one timeAttention to detailPhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time salary position, and hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and your reporting manager.Travel:Travel will be moderate and would be primarily local during the business day.Pay Group : AAP/EEO StatementLippert provides equal employment opportunity to all team members and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, national origin, ancestry, age, genetic information, disability, citizen status, protected veteran status, military service, marital status or any other legally protected category as established by federal, state, or local law.
