Position Summary: Admissions Coordinator

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Admissions Coordinator with a strong background in SALES, MARKETING, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, AND RELATIONSHIP BUILDING . This is a highly visible, relationship-driven position with a strong focus on sales, marketing, business development, referral generation, and census growth . We are looking for someone who is outgoing, energetic, professional, and comfortable getting out into the community and developing new business. This role requires more than coordinating admissions. T he Admissions Coordinator will help drive census growth by developing and maintaining relationships with hospitals, case managers, discharge planners, physicians, healthcare providers, families, and community partners.

The ideal candidate understands that successful admissions begin with strong relationships, consistent follow-up, and an active sales and marketing presence in the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to increase referrals and grow facility census
• Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital case managers, discharge planners, physicians, healthcare providers, referral sources, and community partners
• Conduct regular sales calls, referral-source visits, community outreach, networking, and relationship-building activities
• Identify and actively pursue new referral and business-development opportunities
• Maintain consistent follow-up with referral sources, prospective residents, and families
• Conduct professional and engaging facility tours for prospective residents and families
• Coordinate the admission process from initial referral through admission
• Review referrals and assist with determining appropriate placement
• Verify insurance and assist with admission documentation
• Monitor current and projected census and partner with facility leadership to achieve census goals
• Track referral activity, admissions, referral sources, and lost-business opportunities
• Conduct market research and monitor local healthcare and competitive trends
• Develop and participate in community outreach and marketing initiatives
• Represent the facility at community, civic, networking, and healthcare-related events
• Evaluate resident and family satisfaction with the admission process
• Collaborate with facility leadership, nursing, the business office, and other departments to provide a smooth admission experience

What We're Looking For

Sales and marketing experience is a major focus of this position.

We are looking for a candidate who:

• Has previous sales, marketing, business development, healthcare outreach, or referral-development experience
• Is comfortable prospecting for new business and developing referral relationships
• Is confident making sales calls and conducting in-person referral-source visits
• Has excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
• Is highly motivated, organized, and consistent with follow-up
• Can work independently and take ownership of census-development efforts
• Is comfortable networking and representing the facility throughout the community
• Can balance sales and marketing responsibilities with the administrative responsibilities of the admissions process
• Has previous skilled nursing, long-term care, healthcare admissions, or related experience; strongly preferred
