RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement and holiday support
• Patient ratios: 2:1 ICU, 4-5:1 PCU
• 10-bed ICU/PCU overflow unit with charge nurse out of staffing
• No unit secretaries or PCTs available
• Day shift: 1 Charge RN, 5 Staff RN; Night shift: 1 Charge RN, 5 Staff RN
• Work with lift equipment, Targeted Temperature Management (TTM), ventilators, and IV pumps
• Use Cerner documentation system
• Float to other units as required
• Perform bedside shift reporting (mandatory)
• Relief charge nurse expected to perform nurse leader rounding
• Assist providers with bedside procedures including chest tube insertion and intubations
• Must have Medical ICU experience in large facility
• Advanced skills needed: ventilator management, critical care pharmacology, hemodynamic monitoring, central line management
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Dress code: Navy blue or white scrubs
• Must be comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
• Must be a critical thinker, flexible, and work well with others
