Registered Nurse (RN) - L&D

Registered Nurse Labor & Delivery

Schedule: Every other weekend; weekend coverage required.

Assignment Details: Minimum experience: 2 years; first-time travelers accepted.

Requirements:

• RN license required (GA or Compact license).
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience.
• Prior experience in Labor & Delivery, mother/baby, or OB preferred.
• Charting experience required (Epic preferred).

Responsibilities:

• Manage labor and delivery processes, including triage of obstetrical patients.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and C-sections (including circulating during C-section).
• Perform fetal monitoring and sterile vaginal exams.
• Utilize oxytocin (Pitocin) as needed.
• Conduct newborn assessments and provide mother-baby care.
• Support breastfeeding and provide discharge teaching to new mothers.

Compliance / Notes: Full compliance is required to start on time; all compliance documents due by Tuesday prior to start. Travelers are expected to work major holidays that fall during their assignment.
