Headquartered in Boston, Veolia has more than 10,000 employees working at more than 350 locations across North America.Job DescriptionThe Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Heavy equipment may include wheel loaders, excavators; screening, crushing, and material conveying systems; street sweepers; skid steers; and other similar equipment. The Heavy Equipment Operator must also clean, inspect, and secure all equipment and perform minor preventative and other maintenance on his/her equipment.Primary Responsibilities:Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner according to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations and all company policies and procedures.Perform and document daily safety and maintenance checks.Perform minor preventative and other maintenance.Clean equipment as scheduled or necessary.Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by managementQualificationsBasic Required Qualifications:High school diploma or GED1+ years experience using a wheel loader/front-end loaderWillingness and ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments, including working outdoorsWillingness and ability to wear company provided personal protection equipment including eye protection, steel toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls and respiratorAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the workdayPreferred Qualifications:Experience in using an excavator, skid steer loader, and other related heavy equipmentHourly Rate: $20-24Hours: 3-11 PMAdditional InformationBenefits: Comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off policies, as well as health, dental, vision, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteering and more.
