Cook

Responsibilities Prepare pizzas, salads and sandwiches to order off TDP build sheets and custom orders. Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, prepping meat, or preparing sauces). Maintain a clean cooking station and sterilize equipment. Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies. Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. Answer, report, and follow the manager's instructions. Stock inventory appropriately and monitor food stock and inventory, placing orders as needed with kitchen manager. Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards. Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers. Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion. Assist kitchen manager with daily tasks. Qualifications Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line cook, restaurant cook or prep cook. Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures. Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks. Familiar with industry's best practices. Friendly, consistently positive and helpful attitude. Greet customers, record orders, and serve food and beverages, including answering questions about menu items, daily features and beverage options. Make recommendations for complementary products, including offering beverages, desserts or apps/salads. Input orders into a point-of-sale system and accept payment using a credit card reader or cash register, calculating change accurately and quickly as required. Collaborate with other team members and kitchen/bar staff. Good time-management skills, team spirit, and flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings. Prior experience in one or more of the following roles is highly desirable: line cook, prep cook, grill cook, fry cook, chef, restaurant crew member, restaurant team member, or other part-time BOH restaurant job. #J-18808-Ljbffr
