Lead Principal Commissioning QA/QC EngineerThe Lead Principal Commissioning QA/QC Engineer facilitates the commissioning of multiple projects and other design and engineering initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry standards. Fosters relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to communicate expectations and ensure reports are provided on project updates. Reviews analyses of key performance indicators (KPIs) throughout systems testing and recommends solutions to address observed trends or anomalies. Prioritizes and updates quality and safety standards ensuring safety throughout project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management-Strategy Alignment:-Facilitates the commissioning of multiple projects and other design and engineering initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry standards.-Leverages expertise to influence contract administration including generation and review of contracts, change orders, cost forecasts, and other pertinent documents.-Aligns cross-functional teams on the budget and resources required for timely project completion.Project Management-Relationship Management:-Fosters relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to communicate expectations and ensure reports are provided on project updates.Project Management-Technical Documentation:-Guides the development of commissioning scripts and related technical documentation.-Influences collaborations with the general contractor to develop Systems Manuals documentation to serve as a reference for Data Center Operations personnel.Systems Design & Specifications:-Provides expertise in collaborations with engineering teams to create data center designs and specifications that align to operations and reliability requirements (e.g., power capacity, cooling systems), ensuring electrical and mechanical critical systems (e.g., electrical and mechanical plant, life safety, fire suppression systems, and control systems) are incorporated.Implementation-Testing:-Reviews analyses of key performance indicators (KPIs) throughout systems testing and recommends solutions to address observed trends or anomalies.Implementation-Troubleshooting/ Issue Resolution:-Resolves highly complex, non-routine issues with implementing mechanical and electrical systems.-Drives development of resolutions to common and repeating cases of issues.-Aligns team to best practices to troubleshoot and mitigate issues and reduce recurrence by aligning with major stakeholders.Implementation-Quality & Safety:-Prioritizes and updates quality and safety standards ensuring safety throughout project lifecycle.-Facilitates training programs for teams to ensure alignment on safety standards.-Stays up to date on industry standards and best practices.-Ensures external stakeholders and vendors maintain a common understanding of quality and safety guidelines to facilitate compliance.-Reports and addresses safety and security issues as they arise.Core ResponsibilitiesPlanning & Execution:-Manages and provides direction on timelines, deliverables, and budgets when applicable for critical high-impact projects or initiatives that impact the line of business, ensuring timely completion and adherence to requirements. Anticipates and plans for shifts in resources or timelines based on changing business priorities, ensuring optimal outcomes.Collaboration & Partnership:-Influences cross-functional leaders and external stakeholders to gain alignment on strategic objectives. Fosters partnerships with key business leaders, stakeholders, and/or customers, identifying opportunities for expanding partnerships and promoting long-term organizational success. Champions transparency and inclusivity by actively seeking, listening to, and incorporating diverse perspectives.Problem Solving:-Leads specialized, advanced problem-solving efforts, serving as an escalation point for complex issues. Guides others to leverage innovative data-driven techniques to address ambiguous or novel issues, identify root causes, and drives the implementation of solutions that prevent future issues.Continuous Learning:-Leverages deep industry knowledge and expertise to serve as a thought leader within the organization. Contributes to the advancement of the field or industry through thought leadership (e.g., conference presentations, white papers, research contributions). Maintains and evolves expertise in relevant areas by proactively monitoring emerging trends, technologies, and industry standards, ensuring the organization remains current with best practices. Champions continuous learning and knowledge sharing, promoting professional development across teams. Applies new knowledge to drive advancement and mentors others to do the same.Continuous Improvement:-Develops innovative solutions and drives the implementation of ideas that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of processes, protocols, and workflows across the organization. Evaluates effectiveness of updated approaches and methods for continued improvement to enhance efficiencies and ensure changes align with organizational goals. Designs and develops metrics to measure success of improvement initiatives.Performance and Development:-Serves as a subject matter expert regarding talent needs and organizational talent strategy.
