Construction Laborer

Overview Schedule: Monday-Saturday 6:30 AM-3:00 PM Interstate Waste Services is recognized as an innovative leader in solid waste and recycling services. Essential Job Functions To succeed in this role, you must be able to execute each essential duty effectively. Additional minor tasks may be assigned as needed. Engage in general construction activities including shoveling, lifting, and pulling. Facilitate traffic control by directing vehicles and equipment, including the placement of signs and cones. Communicate effectively with drivers, colleagues, and management using handheld radios and CBs. Conduct site clean‑up and maintenance of vehicles and equipment as required. Transport employees to their work stations as necessary. Fuel vehicles and equipment when needed. Set up and secure wind fences and landfill coverings. Adhere to OSHA safety standards and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Perform other duties assigned by management to support operations. Requirements and Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States. A minimum of 1 year of relevant labor experience is preferred. Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions, and exposed to temperature variations, chemicals, dust, fumes, odors, and loud noises. Must be able to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds. Experience operating equipment is a plus. A valid driver's license is preferred.
