Overview We have partnered with our client in their search for a hands‑on interim accounting leader to own technical accounting, the close, audit support, and systems/process improvement during a period of rapid growth and integration. This person will inherit existing processes and make them better, while serving as a trusted thought partner to the VP of Finance. This role will be hybrid local to New York City - 4 days a week . Core Responsibilities Accounting operations & close: Own the monthly/quarterly/annual close and consolidation across multiple legal entities (including JVs); ensure timely, accurate US GAAP financial statements; review entries, reconciliations and variance analyses; strengthen close discipline and controls. Technical accounting & compliance: Support complex transactions - business combinations (ASC 805), equity comp (ASC 718), leases (ASC 842), revenue recognition (ASC 606), and films/entertainment (ASC 926); draft accounting memos and white papers; support purchase accounting, earn-outs and post‑acquisition integration; help build a scalable risk‑and‑controls framework. Audit & external reporting: Serve as day‑to‑day liaison with external auditors; manage PBC requests; assist with audited financials, footnotes and disclosures; partner with external tax advisors on partnership tax (K-1s, quarterly estimates). Treasury: Build and manage a 13‑week cash forecast, actualize it, and manage fund flows; roll the discipline out across the organization. Systems & process: Act as NetSuite power user; standardize chart of accounts, entity structures and policies; automate manual processes; partner with FP&A and operations on data integrity and reporting. Leadership: Partner with shared services on order‑to‑cash and procure‑to‑pay; help build scalable processes and a high‑performing accounting culture. Qualifications Bachelor's in Accounting; CPA (or equivalent) preferred. 8+ years of accounting experience; professional services, media, entertainment, sports or agency environments strongly preferred. Public accounting background (Big 4 or national firm) preferred. Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP - ASC 606 revenue recognition is a must. Portfolio-company reporting, business combinations, complex statement of cash flows, and multi-subsidiary consolidations (across different systems). Prior PE-backed or rapidly scaling company experience a plus. Strong audit and external‑advisor experience. ERP experience (NetSuite strongly preferred; QuickBooks also used); advanced Excel. #J-18808-Ljbffr
