Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 9 months gap required between for Any Contract Type at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Missouri Health Care and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Missouri Health Care.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Prefer 2 years, but willing to consider 1.5 years of M/S experience for quality candidates. - Heparin drips.

Special Requests: - No locals within 50 miles. - Clinicians who live within 51-75 miles from the facility will be considered local. - RTO not granted for holidays but will work with traveler on which holidays they want to work to meet their 50% requirement.

Unit Details: - Adult internal medicine patient population with a wide range of medical diagnoses, including diabetes complications, COPD exacerbation, ETOH/drug withdrawal, renal failure, and cellulitis. - Floor status patients. - Some video monitoring rooms, sitter rooms, ceiling lifts, and bariatric rooms. - Charge nurse and supervisor on every shift. - The average ratios for the floor are 1:5 for days and 1:6 for nights; day shifters may go up to 6 patients at times and night shifters up to 7.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Call required. - Work 50% of holidays that fall within contract.

Floating Requirements: - Required to float to MS and MS/Tele.
