Retail Construction Project Manager

Position Overview Follett Higher Education is a leading educational service provider and omnichannel retailer that provides students, faculty and staff, parents, and fans with the course materials, learning tools, and retail services needed to successfully support the collegiate journey. Responsibilities Perform all assigned duties of a Project Manager in the Store DesignDepartment. Ensure accurate invoicing, purchase orders, and monitor receivables for allprojects under his/her direction. Work to accurately forecast constructionbudgets/costs for utilization across projects. Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiplelarge-scale projects. Minimize company exposure and risk across multipleprojects while ensuring that projects are completed on time and withinbudget. Implement and review quality assurance procedures in accordance with thecompany methodology to ensure the successful execution of all projects.Develop detailed work plans, schedules, and project estimates, whileproviding ongoing status reports as required. Work with the VP of Store Planning and other department leaders to assist theMarketing team in the creation of budgets for capital projects. Identifyopportunities to improve processes and procedures across projects. Effectively communicate relevant project and practice information toleadership and peers in partner departments. Recognize areas for internal improvement and develop plans forimplementation. Review the status reports of team members across projects andaddress issues as appropriate. Comply with and enforce standard policies andprocedures. Ability to analyze, negotiate, and communicate with our project stakeholderswhen a project exceeds the budget requirements. It may require the candidateto adjust the scope of work as necessary. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent. 5-7 years of Retail Construction experience required. Experience with AutoCAD Desktop is a plus. Ability to engage in 40-50% travel, including overnight and occasionalweekend travel. Travel throughout the U.S. and Canada.
