We are seeking a qualified OR RN to join our team at a community-based hospital located in a vibrant city.

• Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (06:30 - 17:00)
• COVID Vaccination: Required (religious and medical exemptions accepted with completion of COVID exemption form)
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years
• First-Timers Accepted: Yes
• Weekend Requirement: Yes
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
• On-Call Requirement: Yes, 6 shifts in a 6-week schedule with 2 weekend shifts
• Floating: No
• Block Schedule Accommodation: Not Guaranteed
• Local Candidates: Not accepted within 100-mile radius

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in various surgical procedures in the OR, including but not limited to:
  • General Surgery
  • Gyn
  • Orthopedics
  • Plastics
  • Gastrointestinal Surgeries (e.g., Gastric bypass, Cholecystectomy)
  • Urological Procedures (e.g., Cystoscopy)
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout surgical procedures.
• Ensure adherence to the Universal Protocol and proper handling of specimens.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an OR setting.
• Experience with various surgical cases such as total joint replacements, hysterectomies, and laparoscopic procedures is preferred.
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system is preferred.
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:1.

  • Urinary bladder catheterization
  • Electrosurgical units operation
  • Specimen handling and labeling
