# Job Opportunity – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit RN – Virginia Start Date: November 23, 2026
Location: Charlottesville, Virginia

Schedule: 52-week contract, 36 or 48 hours per week, rotating shifts with every other holiday (must work 2 of 3 winter holidays), 3 weekends per six-week schedule Highlights:

• Combined pediatric cardiac and medical critical care unit with high census and high acuity patient population
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 depending on acuity level; may include complex cardiac cases (HLHS, TOF, TGA, heart transplant) and medical critical care cases
• Epic charting system experience required; 24 hours of orientation provided
• Exposure to advanced equipment including ECMO, VADs, and CRRT
• May float to NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics based on staffing needs
• Up to 40 hours approved time off available (not available during first 2 weeks of contract)

Requirements:

• Valid Virginia RN license (pending license accepted if obtained by Wednesday before start date)
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Pediatric cardiac experience strongly preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
• BSN preferred
