Job Responsibilities & Requirements The Senior Mortgage Underwriter manages credit risk by reviewing and properly weighing all aspects of mortgage and home equity applications. This individual is proficient in all underwriting tasks and has experience with, and a solid understanding of, the entire mortgage origination process. The Senior Mortgage Underwriter is a key resource for all members of the mortgage and home equity lending team. This individual must provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4+ years) in a mortgage underwriting capacity is required.
