Position Overview The Clinical Nurse Coordinator Free Standing ER at Mission Health is a Registered Nurse leadership role within our Healthcare & Medical Services department, providing front‑line coordination of patient care and nursing operations in a high‑acuity, fast‑paced emergency setting. Based in a free‑standing emergency department, this position combines direct patient care with clinical leadership, ensuring that safe, evidence‑based, and compassionate care is consistently delivered to patients of all ages. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator collaborates closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and ancillary staff to manage patient flow, prioritize care needs, and support best practices in triage, treatment, and disposition. Key Responsibilities Coordinating patient assignments and monitoring staffing and workload. Assisting with rapid response and resuscitation efforts. Facilitating timely communication among the care team, patients, and families. Actively engaging in performance improvement initiatives. Assisting with orientation and mentoring of new staff.
