Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Clinical focus on staffing the ED of a teaching hospital 30 miles from Chapel Hill

• Teaching & Education: Opportunity to work with a diverse faculty and train future healthcare providers for underserved populations

• Research : Support and develop health sciences research programs and collaborations

• Institutional Citizenship: Improve access, cost, quality, and health outcomes. Maintain timely documentation and satisfaction metrics.

Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine

• Certification in ACLS, PALS and ATLS required

• Preferred: Clinical experience in ED, urgent care, rural practice, or teaching

• Desirable: Fellowship training and/or an advanced degree (e.g. MPH)
