Chief Engineer – Lake Blackshear Retreat & Conference CenterLake Blackshear Retreat / Georgia Veterans State Park, located in Cordele, Georgia, is looking for a Chief Engineer. We offer a culture that focuses on teamwork and high levels of customer service with an environment that empowers our team members to exceed guests' expectations.Lake Blackshear Retreat has 10 lake cabins, 24 villa rooms, and 82 camp sites located on beautiful 8800-acre cypress lake with an off-site fitness center, conference center, marina with a lakeside restaurant, 18 hole-golf course designed by Denis Griffiths, fishing and more. We are managed by the Southeast's premiere hospitality management company, Coral Hospitality.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesRespond to guest requests in a timely manner and provide great guest servicePerform preventative maintenance duties and procedures as neededLead a team of Building Maintenance Tech I and II to complete tasksPerform a variety of tasks assigned by the General ManagerPerform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting projectsOversee all 3rd party outside contractorsRespond to emergency situations promptlyAlways maintain a professional appearanceComplete other duties as assignedQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. You are currently managing at least one subordinate. You have proficient knowledge of hand tools and maintenance duties. You have time management capability to accomplish work within established parameters. You have a customer service focus and the ability to anticipate guest needs.Physical Requirements for this PositionThis is a physically demanding position.
