Natchaug Hospital is Eastern Connecticut's leading provider for children, adolescents and adults with mental illness and substance abuse addictions. We offer a variety of programs including inpatient and outpatient behavioral health, residential treatment for court-involved teenage girls, geriatric services, clinical day treatment schools and chemical dependency services. Job Summary

Receptionist will greet patients, review demographic information and input data into systems. Answer telephones and collect appropriate co pays. Call processing through Allscripts, scan encounter forms, closeout process etc. Must possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task and work effectively as a team member within the organization and with customers.

This position is per diem as needed, to cover 1st or 2nd shifts, 7 days a week. Shifts range from 5.5 to 7 hours each, depending on need.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Additional education preferred.
• 1 to 2 years medical reception experience in a busy primary/urgent care office setting preferred.
• Scheduling, IDX and insurance knowledge preferred.
• Computer skills required.
