Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:
Seeking experienced Registered Nurses to provide comprehensive medical-surgical care in a high-volume hospital setting. The role involves managing post-operative orthopedic, trauma, and neuro overflow patients while ensuring excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and monitor patient vitals to ensure recovery progress.
• Perform post-op assessments for knee, hip, and shoulder replacements, trauma, and neuro patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient progress accurately using Meditech electronic systems.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, infection control, and hospital policies.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and recovery procedures.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in medical-surgical nursing.
• Demonstrated proficiency with orthopedic, trauma, and neuro patient care.
• Ability to perform NIH procedures and handle complex post-operative cases.
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Flexible to float to other MedSurg units as needed.
