Associate Attorney

*Roberts & Eddy, P.C. – Independence, Iowa* Roberts & Eddy, P.C. is a growing, full-service law firm located in Independence, Iowa. Our team includes four attorneys and 19 strong support staff, and we are seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join our practice. We serve clients across a broad range of areas including real estate, probate and estate administration, business law, estate planning, litigation, and family law. This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to multiple practice areas, with the ability to develop and specialize over time based on your interests and strengths. *Position Overview* The Associate Attorney will work closely with senior attorneys while developing an independent caseload. This position is ideal for a motivated attorney who values hands-on experience, client interaction, and long-term professional growth.

• Key Responsibilities*
• Assist with and manage matters across multiple practice areas, including:
• Real estate transactions
• Business formation and advisory
• Probate and trust administration
• Estate planning
• Litigation and family law matters
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, contracts, and other legal documents
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties
• Participate in court proceedings, negotiations, and client meetings
• Maintain accurate and timely case management and billing records
• Qualifications*
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in the State of Iowa (or ability to obtain promptly)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
• Prior legal experience preferred, but not required
