Job Title: Seasonal Campus Security Officer Location: Thornwood, NY Position Type: Seasonal (Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available) Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour Join Our Team This Summer! We are seeking dependable and professional Seasonal Campus Security Officers to support security operations at a private educational campus in Thornwood, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain security experience in a professional campus environment while helping maintain a safe and welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors. This seasonal assignment is expected to begin within the next two weeks and continue through mid-August 2026. Multiple openings are available across afternoon, evening, overnight, weekday, and weekend shifts. Available Shifts Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM Overnight Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM Weekday and weekend coverage available Full-time and part-time opportunities Schedules are subject to operational needs and may be adjusted as staffing requirements evolve. Responsibilities Conduct interior and exterior foot patrols throughout the campus Monitor campus buildings, grounds, and common areas Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, visitors, and vendors Assist with access control and visitor management procedures Respond to incidents and emergencies in accordance with site protocols Complete accurate and detailed incident and activity reports Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times Qualifications Valid New York State Security Guard License (preferred) High School Diploma or GED (required) Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to walk and stand for extended periods during patrols Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and professional Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply Must have reliable personal transportation and access to a vehicle, as the work location is not easily accessible by public transportation Benefits Competitive pay at $19.00 per hour Multiple seasonal openings available Opportunity to gain campus security experience Professional and supportive work environment Potential consideration for future security opportunities Benefits Include Retirement plan Employer-provided medical and dental coverage Company-paid life insurance Voluntary life and disability insurance Employee assistance plan Securitas Saves discount program Paid holidays Paid time away from work Additionally, some populations may have the availability of accessing earned wages on a daily basis, prior to payday.
