Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with visual impairments based on individualized educational goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, therapists, and families to support student success.
- Conduct assessments and develop instructional strategies tailored to each student's needs.
- Promote independence, accessibility, and the effective use of adaptive materials and assistive technology.
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Foster an inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth and achievement.
- Colorado Department of Education (CDE) License as a Special Education Specialist: Visual Impairment ( must be active and in hand at the time of submission ).
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Passion for supporting students with visual impairments in achieving their full potential.
