Systems Analyst II

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Gather, formulate and define requirements to solve intermediate to complex business problems. Provide technical team members and users with assistance solving application-related problems, such as malfunctions and program problems. Analyze requirements, plan and design applications using techniques such as structured analysis, data modeling, process flows, design documentation and information engineering. Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers and the project team. Plan and execute appropriate testing (e.g., test plans, test cases, and test scripts) to comprehensively test assigned enhancements to business applications. Validate business rule implementation and end-to-end workflow functionality through user acceptance testing. Coordinate the installation and application enhancements and/or releases. Expand or modify applications to serve new purposes or improve workflow; identify opportunities for automation, performance optimization and enhanced user experience. Assess the usefulness of pre-developed application packages and adapt them to a user environment. Develop, document and revise flow charts, system design procedures, test procedures and quality standards. Maintain documentation for application systems. Review and analyze applications, including performance results, to locate code problems. Oversee work products of other Systems Analysts and serve as project leaders for small-sized systems projects. Leverage analytics tools like FullStory to understand user behavior, identify pain points in the quoting workflow, and provide data-driven recommendations for UI/UX improvements. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology-related field, or equivalent education and related training. Six years of experience or equivalent proficiency in application analysis and design. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently or as a member of a team. Manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Ability to direct and train other team associates. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, creating and documenting process flows using tools such as Visio, Azure DevOps or comparable project management platforms, utilizing browser developer tools for basic troubleshooting, and leveraging session replay and analytics platforms such as FullStory to assess user behavior and enhance application usability.
