Looking for Warehouse Associate jobs in Avery Island where every day keeps products moving? This opportunity lets you support warehouse operations through picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory handling while helping ensure orders are completed safely and accurately. Job Duties Load, unload, and transport pepper mash barrels using forklifts or other equipment Store and organize mash barrels in designated warehouse areas Assist with inventory tracking and documentation of mash batches Inspect barrels for leaks, damage, or quality concerns Follow proper handling procedures for aged mash (including rotation and staging) Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous warehouse, logistics, or distribution training is beneficial. Forklift certification or ability to obtain Experience Requirements Ability to safely perform warehouse duties including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory handling. Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately identify products, labels, and shipping documentation. Ability to use pallet jacks, hand trucks, RF scanners, or other warehouse equipment as required. Good organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced warehouse environments. Commitment to workplace safety, teamwork, and dependable attendance. Preferred Qualifications 1-3 years of previous warehouse, distribution center, fulfillment, manufacturing, or logistics experience is preferred. Experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment is beneficial. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory procedures, shipping software, or RF scanning equipment is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate reliability, adaptability, teamwork, and attention to detail are well positioned for success as a Warehouse Associate. Previous warehouse, forklift, or labor experience preferred Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive warehouse tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and packages weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely work around warehouse equipment, conveyors, and moving inventory.
