Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions.

Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.

To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.

• Executes all diagnostic CT studies operating equipment to include, but not limited to General Electric CT scanners, and workstation, Macintosh G3 computer, and associated patient care equipment
• Completes assigned examinations including filming, jacket retrieval and location of old images.
• Delivers patient care for all age groups of patients requiring CT services, acting as a liaison between the patient and the radiologist.
• Performs basic activities in regard to patient care; responds to emergency situations while delivering patient care
• Consults with nursing floor regarding changes in patient's condition; documents in-patient charts with patient care notes and completes incident forms for the time patient is in the CT suite.
• Provides for patient comfort and protection from radiation sources by utilizing appropriate procedures/accessories; consults protocol manual for scanning parameters to ensure unnecessary exposure is reduced and patient dose is kept as low as possible.

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, (including course work in cross-sectional anatomy and/or demonstrated skill/knowledge in cross-sectional anatomy), upon hire and
• One year of work experience in the senior level of the core job family or
• Any combination of experience or education that would demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support (through AHA) - CPR, upon hire and
• Medical Radiographer: WA, upon hire

Preferred

• One year of work experience as a CT Technologist
