CNC Machinist

Job Description Job Description We are seeking an experienced CNC Vertical Mill Operator with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on machining experience in a production or job shop environment. The ideal candidate must be capable of independently plugging in programs, setting up and operating CNC vertical milling machines for a wide variety of parts and materials while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency. Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC vertical mills for short-run and production work Load, verify, and manage CNC programs at the machine control Set work offsets, tool offsets, and establish accurate workpiece zeroes Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions Perform machine setups including fixturing, tooling, and part alignment Monitor machining operations to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments Troubleshoot setup and machining issues as needed Maintain a clean and safe work environment File full machine inspection Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of CNC vertical mill operating and setup experience Strong understanding of G-code and CNC machine controls Ability to work with a variety of parts, materials, and job setups Experience setting tool lengths, offsets, and work coordinate systems Ability to read mechanical drawings and use precision measuring tools Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently Preferred Skills: Experience in a job shop or custom fabrication environment Familiarity with Haas or similar CNC controls Basic programming and editing capabilities at the machine Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus Company Description We have been providing critical parts with tight tolerances to clients in the oil/sub-sea industry for over two decades, with our skilled team here at H&H we are a one stop shop and ready to take care of all your needs.
