Quality Control Inspector

Quality Control InspectorForesight Technologies is looking to hire a Quality Control Inspector. A Quality inspector will be responsible for conducting quality inspections on incoming, in-process and final production. Along with finished products to ensure compliance of specifications and standards, check equipment for proper orientation, documentation of inspection results, and other duties as needed and/or required.The ideal candidate will show proven reliability, pay close attention to detail, self-motivated, coachable, knowledgeable with working and handling plastics and metal products, familiar with various inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges), highly competent in reading and interpreting manufacture drawings (blueprints), and knowledgeable of QMS AS9102 Standards. This position requires excellent communication skills (verbal and written), the ability to work on several projects at the same time, detail oriented.Equipment: Calipers, Micrometers, Gage blocks, Thread gagesSoftware: Discus, Unipoint, Microsoft Office, AdobeKey ResponsibilitiesPerform in-process and final inspections of aerospace components and assembliesInterpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and work instructionsUse precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and CMM equipmentVerify compliance with AS9100, customer, and regulatory requirementsConduct First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 standardsDocument inspection results and maintain accurate quality recordsIdentify non-conforming materials and initiate NCR documentationSupport root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activitiesReview material certifications and traceability documentationEnsure proper handling and storage of aerospace partsParticipate in internal and external auditsQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required (Technical certification preferred)3+ years of quality inspection experience in aerospace or precision manufacturingStrong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)Experience working within AS9100 quality systemsKnowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection requirementsProficiency using precision inspection tools and CMM (preferred)Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and quality documentation softwareSkills & CompetenciesExceptional attention to detailStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and make sound quality decisionsEffective written and verbal communicationAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentWork EnvironmentAerospace manufacturing environmentMay require standing for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 25–40 lbsUse of PPE as requiredMay require overtime depending on production demandsThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
